The practice of modern hightech espionage
Yesterday, the U.S. Justice Department made public claims to the 11 spies who had been collecting information for the Russian Federation. Documents in this case (PDF1, PDF2) show that such spying the 21 st century: the guys have used high technology for the full program.

For example, in one episode case informant Anna Chapman (Anna Chapman) has brought a laptop with sensitive information in a cafe at 47 Street in Manhattan. Representatives of the Russian intelligence service arrived in a van and took off all the necessary information remotely, without even entering the building.

In another episode, the same informant went to the bookstore Barnes and Noble in Greenwich Street, opened the laptop and joined the private WiFi-network, through which the Russian again rewrote all the necessary information without having to make personal contact with the informant.

Russian undercover agent embedded into the United States several decades ago, used to transmit information a special program for steganography developed in Moscow. Experts say the FBI, calling the program by pressing Ctrl + Alt + E, after which it was necessary to introduce 27-digit password. Hard Drives agents arrested and the FBI is now trying to pick a password to prove his theory.

The American authorities have not received any information yet on what specifically were able to convey information to Russian in Moscow, so the agents charged by other articles: 18 USC 371 (illegal conspiracy to harm the United States) in violation of 18 USC 951 (compulsory registration of agents of foreign governments in the American prosecutor). Nine agents are also charged with money laundering.
